Perforated Metal Mesh, also called Perforated Sheet, is a metal product crafted by processing various regular or irregular holes on metal sheets using precision stamping equipment. It integrates structural strength and versatility, making it widely applicable in diverse industrial scenarios. Moreover, it can be customized in terms of specifications, materials, colors, and surface treatments to meet the requirements of different application environments.
I. Core Product Features
Stable Structure: Adopting one-piece stamping forming technology, the evenly distributed holes do not damage the original structure of the sheet. It boasts excellent compression and tensile performance, being difficult to deform or break off, and features a long service life.
Multi-functional Adaptability: It possesses multiple properties such as ventilation, light transmission, filtration, sound insulation, anti-slip, and decoration. The functional focus can be adjusted according to hole specifications to cater to the needs of different scenarios.
Strong Customization Capability: Materials, hole diameter, hole shape, sheet specifications, and colors can all be customized on demand, flexibly matching the personalized requirements of various fields including industry, construction, and decoration.
Easy Installation and Maintenance: With light weight and a simple structure, it can be directly cut, spliced, and installed. No complex maintenance is needed in the later stage, and it is easy to clean, thereby reducing usage costs.
II. Important Parameters (Core Specifications)
Sheet Specifications: Thickness ranges from 0.3mm to 12mm (conventional 0.5mm to 5mm); width ranges from 300mm to 1500mm; length ranges from 1000mm to 6000mm (can be cut on demand and customized into special sizes).
Hole Diameter Specifications: Hole diameter ranges from 0.5mm to 100mm (conventional 1mm to 20mm); hole pitch (center distance) ranges from 1mm to 150mm. The density of holes can be customized, and the hole arrangement modes include straight row, staggered row (most commonly used), and diagonal row.
Hole Shape: Conventional hole shapes include circular, square, rectangular, slotted, and hexagonal; customized hole shapes include diamond, plum blossom, five-pointed star, and irregular decorative holes. Among these, circular holes are the most widely used and have the strongest adaptability.
Open Area Ratio: 5% to 60% (adjustable on demand). The open area ratio directly affects ventilation, light transmission, and filtration effects. A higher open area ratio results in better ventilation and light transmission, while a lower ratio ensures higher structural strength.
Tolerance Range: Sheet thickness tolerance is ±0.05mm to ±0.2mm; hole diameter tolerance is ±0.03mm to ±0.1mm; dimensional tolerance is ±1mm to ±3mm (adjusted according to specification size, and tolerance accuracy can be improved for precision requirements).
III. Material Selection
Suitable materials can be selected based on the application environment (such as corrosion, high temperature, and load-bearing requirements). Conventional materials are as follows:
Stainless Steel (Most Commonly Used): Materials including 304, 316, and 316L. It is corrosion-resistant, high-temperature resistant, and not prone to rust, making it suitable for outdoor, humid, and acid-base environments such as chemical, marine, and food processing fields.
Carbon Steel (Ordinary Steel): Q235 material. It features low cost and high strength, suitable for indoor dry environments and non-load-bearing scenarios. Its corrosion resistance can be improved by combining with surface treatment.
Galvanized Steel: Available in hot-dip galvanized and electro-galvanized types. A galvanized layer is added on the basis of carbon steel, providing better corrosion resistance than ordinary carbon steel. It is suitable for outdoor fences, municipal facilities, and other scenarios.
Aluminum Sheet: Light in weight, good in ductility, corrosion-resistant, and attractive in appearance. It is suitable for fields requiring light weight and aesthetic performance, such as decoration, aerospace, and automotive industries.
Copper Sheet: Possesses excellent electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, and corrosion resistance. It is suitable for electronic equipment, chemical industry, and decorative fields with high performance requirements.
IV. Color Selection
The color of the perforated metal mesh is determined by its surface treatment process. Both conventional and customized colors are available to meet different decorative and functional needs:
Conventional Colors: Silver (original color of stainless steel/aluminum), gray (galvanized color), black, white, grayish blue, and red (powder coating colors). These are widely used in general industrial and construction scenarios.
Custom Colors: According to the customer's Pantone color number or sample, we can provide customized powder coating, anodizing, or painting colors to match the overall design style of the project, such as architectural facades and interior decoration scenarios.
